“I’ve spent years fighting to clean up local government, protect a woman’s right to choose, crack down on illegal guns, bring jobs and development to our neighborhoods, and secure equal rights and protections for our LGBTQ community. Today, much of that progress is being undone by Donald Trump and his allies in Harrisburg.
“I hope you’ll join me and stand up for our neighborhoods and our city. Philadelphia should always be a place where people feel welcome and safe.”

PA Lawmakers Advocate for Solitary Confinement Reform
Several lawmakers in Harrisburg are pushing a Bill that would prohibit placing certain inmates in solitary confinement. Proposals have been introduced in both the House and Senate. Senator Larry Farnese (D-Philadelphia) and Representative Tina Davis (D-Bucks) are sponsoring Bills to put an end to what they call an inhumane practice.
About Larry
Larry Farnese is focused on creating a safer and better Philadelphia.
He has proposed stricter gun laws, brought back the mounted patrol, ended the controversial DROP program for elected officials, and fought for thousands of new, family-sustaining jobs for our communities.
That’s why he has been endorsed by organizations, unions, and elected officials, and was named a “2011 Legislative Hero” by Keystone Progress.
